The hike in interest rates is causing some buyers to hold off on purchasing a new home. However, it’s important to remember that a home is usually a long-term purchase and that interest rates are by nature temporary and fluctuating. Buying today will enable you to get started on your investment and at some point you will likely be able to refinance at more favorable rates, capitalizing on increased equity over time. The good news is that the feeding frenzy of recent months has subsided to more manageable levels and there are more properties on the market to choose from. One other concern that some buyers express is that they will be buying at the height of the market and that their asset will be worth less in 6-12 months. None of us has a crystal ball, however, there is very little to indicate that the local real estate market is going to take a dive any time soon. Our beautiful city is now firmly on the map, and there is still so much pent-up demand and many different reasons why people will continue to move here from all over the United States. Home values for Sarasota and the surrounding areas are also now more in line with other popular markets such as Naples and the east coast of Florida. The market appears to have peaked, but it is still very much a seller’s market.

“I believe that success in real estate is not simply a case of matching people to houses. To get the best possible outcome for buyers and sellers, the process must be clearly defined and executed from the outset. This means listening to and identifying every client's motivations and needs, working closely to achieve their goals, implementing a cohesive marketing plan, and negotiating sales contracts successfully.”

“Bev Murray is truly a professional in every sense of the word. She is knowledgeable, conscientious, very experienced, and a pleasure to work with. As out of town buyers she made the whole process very easy for us.”
