Welcome to my December Sarasota real estate news, including recent sales and the announcement of an exciting, new high-end condo development by Rosewood. The Sarasota market still continues to hold strong with demand outpacing supply across all areas of the residential real estate market. Prices continue to rise year-on-year, with the median price for single-family homes increasing by 19% and reaching a record-high of $410,000. Condo prices increased by 27% to a median of $332,990. Buyers are seeing fierce competition and are battling multiple offer situations and a strong cash purchase market. Buyers need to plan ahead and work with a seasoned realtor with strong negotiation and strategic skills.

The Murray family enjoyed a lovely start to Thanksgiving with a boat ride from SRQ to St.Petersburg, some fishing under the Sunshine Skyway on the way, and a night at The Vinoy before heading home to celebrate the holiday with extended family.
