The Murray family moved to the aptly named Intrepid, built by our sister company Murray Homes, during IRMA. Here we are leaving our lovely, older Florida home at Indian Beach and settling in. Market Summary - August 2017
The month of August showed strong sales numbers for Sarasota county compared to the same month last year - sales of single family homes increased 9.2 percent, and condos increased 4.4 percent. For the first 8 months of 2017, the number of closed transactions has tracked marginally higher than 2016. Inventory and median prices remain on trend with slow and steady increases. It is unclear at this point how Hurricane Irma affected pending sales, as some closings will have been delayed by re-inspections required by lenders and waiting for a lift of the disaster designation.

Sarasota Eagerly Awaits the World Rowing Championships this Weekend!
The World Rowing Championships are coming to Sarasota’s Nathan Benderson Park Sept. 23 through Oct. 1, with 40,000 attendees and 1,700 elite world-class athletes from more than 60 countries competing. Sarasota is home to the Sarasota County Rowing Club, the Sarasota Scullers, the oldest organized youth rowing club in town, and Sarasota Crew. This is a huge event for our home town, as we launch ourselves onto the international stage, adding to our ever-growing reputation as an amazing place to live, work and play!
